Dr. Joshua Wong completed his medical school at the University of Alberta in 2009. Thereafter, he completed his residency in Plastic Surgery and a Master of Science in peripheral nerve regeneration at the University of Alberta in 2016. He further specialized his training by completing a burns and surgical critical care fellowship at the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle Washington from 2016-2017. He has returned to the University of Alberta and manages an academic clinical practice in burns, trauma, melanoma and skin malignancies. His research interests are burns clinical outcomes, wound management and critical care. He also has particular interest in international surgery, global health, and burn prevention/education.
